ALL of the following courses are required for an Adult to be considered "Trained" as a Leader

• Boy Scout Leader Fast Start Training
  • Should be completed by ALL Scout Parents
  • Completed online (see information & link below)
• Youth Protection Training
  • Should be completed by ALL Scout Parents
  • Completed online (see information & link below)
• 'This Is Scouting'
  • Replaces 'New Leader's Essentials'
  • Should be completed by ALL Scout Parents
  • Completed online (see information & link below)
• Assistant Scoutmaster Job Specific Training
• Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Skills Training (campout)

All of these Training Courses (except Fast Start & Youth Protection) are offered through Winnebago Council. Often these courses are offered during Summer Camp or Merit Badge College and University.

Once a course is completed, you should have it recorded with our Advancement Chairman and the Council. BSA On-line Courses can be found at the following website: http://olc.scouting.org/ You will be asked to create a MYScouting E-Learning Account. You need to enter 'Winnebago' for our Council. You will be asked for your 'Member ID'. This is not required but is listed on your BSA Membership Card. If you are a Registered Leader and don't know your ID number, you can call the Winnebago Council and ask them. If you are not yet registered, you can leave this field blank.
